Overview

Mercury-UI™ for ASP
A collection of COM DLLs and tools that assist you in creating sophisticated web user-interfaces, with a strong emphasis on fluid (resizable) layouts, browser compatibility, site performance and programmability.

Navigation
Navigation is a crucial part of the sites you develop. Mercury-UI includes two advanced controls for creating an intuitive navigational structure:

ASP Development Features
Each control has flexible programming options:

  • Time-tested reliability and speed (written in C++ without MFC or ATL dependencies).

  • Program the objects in ASP using JScript or VBScript (samples of both included), or use the included Studio application.

  • Load & save state using or our own binary state format.

  • Cache the DHTML on the client.

Cross-Browser Support
Browsers are automatically detected and DHTML is rendered accordingly. See individual control details for more on cross-browser support.

Client-side and Server-side
Mercury-UI for ASP includes both client-side and server-side technologies, so you can make the best design decision for your project.

If a project is best suited for client-side development, then use the included Studio design-time applications for creating and compiling .js files.

If a project is best suited for dynamic server-side programming, then use the included run-time COM DLL.

Studio Applications

Studio Apps
Each license includes a Studio application that functions as either a stand-alone design program that can be used to visually prototype the object, save state files, or even compile a control's DHTML into external .js files that can be used on any web server or HTML project.

The Studio programs can also assist by generating server-side ASP code that can be pasted into your page.

Tremendous Value
No other solution provides this much versatility in one package. What's more, Mercury-UI uses developer-based licensing which includes royalty-free distribution of the COM DLLs.

Each developer who owns a license can re-use Mercury-UI again and again, without any additional cost!
