Overview

Mercury-UI™ for ASP.NET
A collection of .NET Assembly DLLs and tools that assist you in creating sophisticated web user-interfaces, with an emphasis on resizable layouts, browser compatibility, site performance and programmability.

Now with ASP.NET 1.x, 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0 support.

Navigation and Layout
Always the foundation of a good client experience. Mercury-UI for ASP.NET includes the following web controls that help you meet the design goals for your applications:

ASP.NET Development Features
Each control has flexible programming options:

  • Program the objects in any available .NET language, or use the included Studio applications.

  • Navigation controls can save & load their state in a binary format or standard XML (can be persisted in any Stream-derived object).

  • Navigation controls can fire client-side or server-side events, or navigate to a URL.

  • Layout controls can automatically persist dynamic UI changes via ASP.NET Postback architecture.

  • Navigation controls can cache their DHTML on the client.

  • Navigation controls can be cached on the server.

New ASP.NET 2.0 Features
Support for ASP.NET 2.0 (and greater) adds the following:

  • ASP.NET 2.0 Theme support.

  • ASP.NET 2.0 Site Navigation support.

  • ASP.NET 2.0 Callback support (PanelSet).

Cross-Browser Support
Web browsers are automatically detected and DHTML is rendered accordingly. See individual control details for more on cross-browser support.

Client-side and Server-side
Mercury-UI for ASP.NET navigation controls include the option to use either client-side and/or server-side technologies, so you can make the best design decisions for your projects.

If your project is best suited for client-side development, then use the included Studio design-time applications for creating JavaScript (*.js) files.

If your project is best suited for server-side programming, then use the included run-time .NET Assembly DLLs.

Studio Applications

Studio Apps
Each navigation component includes a Studio application, which functions as a design program that can be used to visually prototype your menus. You can save state files, or even compile your menu's DHTML into external JavaScript files that can be used on any web server or HTML project.

The Studio applications can also assist you by automatically generating server-side C#, VB.NET or C++/CLI code that can be pasted into your applications.

Tremendous Value
No other solution provides this much versatility in one package. Additionally, Mercury-UI for ASP.NET uses a developer-based licensing model which includes royalty-free use and re-distribution of the compiled JavaScript files and/or .NET Assembly DLLs.

Each developer who owns a license can re-use Mercury-UI for ASP.NET again and again, without any additional costs!
