WebMenu for ASP.NET
Version 4.0

WebMenu™ for ASP.NET
A .NET Assembly DLL that enables you to programmatically create DHTML hierarchical menus of unprecedented versatility and function.

Now with ASP.NET 2.0 and ASP.NET 1.x support.

Cross-Browser Support
Automatically detects and renders a tailored DHTML menu for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 - 7, Netscape Navigator 4 - 8, Opera 7 - 9, Safari 1 - 2, Mozilla/Firefox 1 - 2 and other Gecko-based browsers running on Windows, Mac and Linux.

DHTML Features
At the client, the run-time DHTML has many features and abilities. These are a few:

  • XHTML and HTML Compatibility - Can function within pages that are designed in either XHTML 1 and HTML 4.

  • Keyboard Access - And Arrow Key Navigation on many modern browsers. Satisfies §1194.21(a) of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

  • MenuBar Object - Static Vertical and Horizontal layout, or Floating, Dragging and Docking behaviors.

  • Customized Popup Integration - In lieu of using the MenuBar object, client-side functions allow the developer to create their own menu buttons in HTML to control how and where a menu group will appear.

  • Client-side Events - In addition to navigating to a URL, you can invoke custom JavaScript functions at the browser when the user clicks on an Item or MenuBar Button.

  • Intelligent Window Positioning - All groups will detect the edge of the window and reposition accordingly so that the menu remains visible always.

  • Scrollable Groups - When the size of a group exceeds the available window space, scroll buttons can be provided that allow the user to adjust the viewable portion of the group.

  • Cover IE Select Boxes - Using our original technique, the MenuBar and groups can overlay IE Windowed objects (Select boxes, IFrames, Flash, etc.) without the need for hiding them on IE 5.5+ for Windows.

  • Highly Customizable Look - Colors, sizes, borders and fonts can all be customized to visually integrate with any project. Also supports custom image replacement throughout.
