Overview

Microsoft’s OLE DB and ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) technologies are part of their Universal Data Access strategy. They define and implement a set of Component Object Model (COM) interfaces that provide applications with uniform programmatic access to information.

The Coalesys SureGrid™ Control is a graphical OLE DB data consumer and editor. It gathers and presents information on behalf of your applications. It displays and allows the manipulation of the data through a collection of columns and rows.

Every aspect of the SureGrid Control is designed to be lightweight and scalable. Only records needed for display are loaded, allowing it to manage large amounts of data. A built-in data cache stores recently accessed records, reducing the need for redundant retrievals.

Bonus Controls
Along with the SureGrid Control, this package now contains three additional data-bound controls:

1. Coalesys Region Control
Presents the user with an image of the United States or Canada, and allows them to choose any state/province with their keyboard or mouse.

2. Coalesys Gauge Control
An analog-style gauge control that uses animation techniques to render a needle on top of any image, in a flicker-free manner.

3. Coalesys Meter Control
A numeric meter control that displays a single floating-point number in an animated fashion.
