We are pleased to announce the availability of PortRemoter v5.0 for all supported platforms.

PortRemoter is a software-based TCP/IP port forwarder and network monitoring service. The software accepts connections on a particular TCP port, and establishes connections to a different TCP port to fulfill requests. Administrative web interface allows the monitoring of connection and data transfer statistics.

Some of the new PortRemoter 5.0 features include:

• Added an option to choose either Botan or OpenSSL when selecting a TLS library for HTTPS operations.
• Added support for the Brotli and Snappy compression libraries.
• Updated all dependent C/C++ libraries to the latest versions.
• Added new "Color Theme" property to the PortRemoter Administrator application settings that allow you to choose between "Light" and "Dark" color schemes.
• Added new "Activity Cache Hours" property to the PortRemoter Administrator application settings that allows the memory storage of historical statistics used to populate Activity Feeds page.
• Added the "Override Settings" page to the PortRemoter Administrator that allows the overriding of the application settings for the Administator or port forwarders.
• Added the ability to change the display order of the Load Balancing, Virtual Hosting and Port Sharing rules.
• Added logic to fallback to epoll if support for io_uring fails.
